QOTD #1: You
The book is written in second person, using “you” to make the reader feel as if they are a part of the story. Do you like this writing style? Why or why not?
Why do you think the author chose to write the book in second person?

I really liked the author writing the book in the second person because it really made me feel like a part of the story. I also enjoyed it since I have not read a book like that before in the second person. It reminded me at first of a choose your own adventure book only it was not. Really well written I think. The author may have chose to write this way to make everyone who reads it feel like they were a part of the story. He also may have wanted to show his readers that there are always choices to make for better or worse and that you as Kyle may not have made the best choice but You do have the choice. Really enjoyed this story

Hi Katie!
That’s a great answer! I’m not usually in to books that are written in second person, but I think it makes sense what you said about showing readers that there is always a choice to be made. I’m glad you enjoyed the book! Stay tuned for more questions this week.
