Homemade Felted Soap

Make a homemade felted soap! Felted soaps provide gentle exfoliation, look beautiful, and won’t slip around in your sink or shower.

For this craft you will need:
– Wool roving (it can be ordered from fibrecraft.ca)
– Soap
– Nylons
– Boiling water
– Cold water

DIY Phone Stand

Make this easy stand to keep your phone safe and still! Great for reading recipes, watching videos, or video calls. All you need is a toilet paper roll, some scissors, and sharpies to decorate.

DIY No Sew Mask

You can make a no sew mask using a bandanna, coffee filter, and two hair elastics.

Be sure to follow these rules:
1. Wash your hands before putting on your mask.
2. Make sure it is covering your nose and that you can see. Once it is on properly, do not touch the front of your mask.
3. When you get home, wash your hands before removing your mask.
4. Use your pinky finger to remove your mask, then put straight in the wash.

DIY Cork Stamps

Let’s make some DIY cork stamps. This is a very easy and satisfying way to make art with simple materials that you already have at home! Laura will show you how to make your own cork stamp, followed by a tutorial for a sunflower greeting card.

You will need:

  • Wine corks
  • Cork or craft foam
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue + glue gun
  • Markers
  • Scrap paper
  • Card stock or thick paper

Ombré Nail Art

Can’t get to the salon? Follow along with this easy tutorial to do your own ombre nail art!

You will need:
– Make up or cleaning sponge
– Nail file
– Clear nail polish, or base coat and top coat
– Nail polish remover
– 3 different colours of nail polish
– Cotton Swabs
– Paper to protect your table

Steps:
1. File nails to desired shape and length
2. Apply base coat or clear coat and let dry
3. Apply a line of nail polish in each colour to the sponge, then gently tap the sponge a few times on your nail. Wait for this coat to dry, then repeat until the colour is thick enough.
4. Repeat step 3 for each finger nail.
5. Clean fingers with nail polish remover and cotton swabs.
6. Apply a top coat or clear coat
7. Admire your nails!
