I have not read a retelling of fairy tales before but I do like the show on tv called once upon a time. It’s more an adult version of fairy tales which I do enjoy. I also loved the movie ever after and its version on Cinderella as Cinderella is my favorite tale. I am often doing chores around house for my mom too. Although my mom is no evil step mother and appreciates my helping at home. So yes I would say Cinderella is my favorite. Also love the story of all the animals that help Cinderella and the story of the fairy godmother who has magic. Makes for a great story..I liked the movie Ever after as well as I do tend to enjoy adult fairy tale versions of the storytelling of Cinderella as I think you can tell more of a story with adults. I will have to pick up more books to read about fairy tales retold in the future.
